Essential
The People's Way
The Indigenous ethical framework Wren Aalto brings to the AI committee — the counter-philosophy to the AI-overlordship thesis.
The People's Way (dänkʼè) is the Indigenous ethical framework that Wren Aalto presents to the parliamentary committee. It is not an anti-technology philosophy. It is a stewardship philosophy — the argument that the people who live with the consequences of a system should have authority over how it is used.
The People's Way is the constructive alternative to both Calder Voss's deregulation and Rob Coleman's regulatory defense. Voss says let the systems run. Rob says govern the systems. Wren says the people who live with the systems should decide how they are governed.
How the term evolves
Essential: The People's Way is the testimony (proc-063) that changes the political debate. It is the reason the Act is renewed — not because Rob's technical case is won, but because Wren's moral case is heard.
